What will make my application form stand out?
We’re looking for you to have a clear interest in Atkins and the role you are applying to. Make sure you demonstrate this through any related projects or modules you may have studied at university and really think about the information you’re asked to provide us through your application process. You can also include any work experience that you feel is relevant, just make the most of the opportunity you have to show us what you have to offer.
When’s the closing date for applications?
Each role advertised on our careers pages should provide you with that detail, but generally we will close as we go along based on volume of applications, so we suggest that you get your application in as soon as you can to ensure the options are available that you’re interested in.
How do I know which role is right for me?
We’ve tried to provide a significant amount of useful information on our careers pages that will help you choose a role, understand more about our business and know what’s on offer if you’re successful. The job descriptions will also provide lots of detail and additional information but if you want to know more about what it’s actually like to work at Atkins then the mentors will be able to tell you their personal experience
I am an international student, am I eligible to apply?
Yes - Atkins is an A rated sponsor within the Home Office Sponsorship Management system under Tier 2. This means that we can sponsor candidates from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) who do not currently have the right to work in the UK but possess a valid Tier Four student visa. However, this does vary so please ensure you check the eligibility criteria in the job description.
What does the situational judgement test involve?
The situational judgement test presents you with work-based scenarios in video format and you’ll be required to select the most/least likely outcome from a list of options. This test offers you a glimpse into life at Atkins and the questions are all underpinned by our key behaviours and competencies that we look for.
What do I do if I have completed an undergraduate placement or I'm an internal candidate at Atkins?
If you have completed a paid undergraduate placement with Atkins or are an internal candidate already working for Atkins and would like to apply to our graduate programme please contact us by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org before submitting your application.
I have a disability, are you able to provide adjustments and / or support?
Yes, we provide adjustments because we want you to be able to demonstrate your full potential during the recruitment process. It’s really important to inform us early on in the process so we can look at what support you might need and at what stage so we can respond accordingly at the right time. Contact us at email@example.com or call 0121 483 5089.
What types of adjustments are available for someone who has a disability or health condition?
We can provide various adjustments that will enable you to perform your best at all stages of the recruitment process. Examples of adjustments we have made in the past include, but are not limited to, providing assistive technology, extra time, changing the format of an assessment, scheduling an interview at a specific time, ensuring there is access. For further information and help please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0121 483 5089.
